Wang Wei, executive vice president and secretary-general of the Beijing
Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) met with
visiting delegation of the Russian Olympic Committee headed by vice president
Vladimir Vasin on Friday. The two sides had a cordial conversation.
Vladimir Vasin won men's diving title at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972. He
has won the first place also in many large-scale international diving events and
served as an international referee. He was president of the Russian Olympic
Committee from 1989 to 1992, first vice president from 1992 to 2005 and vice
president since 2005.
