"Nutrition is now the biggest issue for China. Chinese people should focus more on the quality of calories than quantity."

Brett Rierson, director of the World Food Program's China Liaison Office, saying that his organization was discussing with the Chinese government an exchange program to teach nutrition in China.

"I don't know if they will come to visit me during Mid-Autumn Festival. If they don't, I'd like to move into a nursing home as soon as possible so that I can spend the festival with other old folks and won't feel lonely."

Zhu Huaying, an 87-year-old woman in Jiangbei district, Chongqing, said she hopes her children will spend the festival with her, although by law they are required to regularly visit her.

"The export of film as a cultural product is not only about the film itself, it's definitely connected with the cultural power of the country."

Jia Zhangke, a noted film director, saying that China should continue to reach out to international audiences through films and other media. Only when the overall power and global influence of Chinese culture has been enhanced will Chinese films progress, Jia said during the 38th annual Toronto International Film Festival.
