Li Qiang elected Party chief of East China's Jiangsu

NANJING -- Li Qiang was elected secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), East China, Tuesday.
Li was elected to the post at the first plenary meeting of the 13th CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee.
He is a native of Ruian city in East China's Zhejiang province, and he joined the CPC in 1983.
Li served as governor of Zhejiang province before he was appointed Party chief of Jiangsu province in June 2016.
