From premier to researcher: Famous people who sat gaokao 40 years ago

Yu Minhong is from a rural area in East China's Jiangsu province. He sat gaokao in 1978 and 1979 but failed to be admitted by college. But his continuous efforts finally helped him reach Peking University after his third attempt in 1980.
