China's first self-developed gas turbine generator set delivered to customer

HARBIN - China's first domestically-developed 25 megawatt dual-fuel gas turbine generator for offshore platforms was delivered to customer Wednesday in Harbin, capital of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province.
The generator set, with improved fuel adaptability, was independently developed by the No. 703 research institute under the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) and manufactured by CSIC Longjiang GH Turbine Cooperation.
Gas turbine generator is a critical equipment for the development of offshore oil. The ability to independently produce it breaks foreign monopoly in the field and will cut the cost of maintenance for customers, said Lin Feng, head of the research institute.
