A mobile unit equipped with CT machines was put into operation recently in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region's Sixth People's Hospital to increase scanning efficiency and reduce infection risks.
The mobile CT machines are able to scan a patient in eight seconds on average. Images and data can be transferred to doctors via smart functions using 5G technology.
"The mobile CT unit can reduce risks of cross-infection. It meets demands for quarantine treatment amid the COVID-19 epidemic," said Yang Yuxin, director of the hospital's imaging center.
