Two cases of imported COVID-19 infection cured
Two patients infected with COVID-19 in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region have recovered and were discharged from hospital on Friday afternoon, according to the regional health commission.
The two are a couple that had come back from Iran, a doctor said in a video in a report by People's Daily. The doctor said the couple had mild symptoms, and they were cured in a short time.
The husband, 36, surnamed Yang, spent seven days receiving treatment at a local hospital, while the wife, 29, surnamed Ma, was there six days, according to the video report.
According to the commission's previous reports on confirmed cases, a businessman, surnamed Yang, came back from Iran on Feb 25 and was confirmed to have the disease on Feb 28. Yang's wife was with him during the trip.
Another man, 23, surnamed Ding, came back from Iran on Feb 24 and was confirmed on Feb 26.
As of Friday afternoon, the region has reported 75 confirmed cases infected with the virus, including 71 cured. The rest are still under treatment, the commission said.
