Global science and technology forum comes to China

China will host the third World Science and Technology Development Forum in Beijing from Nov 6 to 7, with a goal of establishing an open, inclusive and mutually beneficial collaboration platform for scientific exchange and cooperation.
The forum will be co-hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The forum will be supported by UNESCO, the International Science Council, and the World Federation of Engineering Organizations.
The theme of this year's forum will be "openness, trust and cooperation". The events of the forum will be held online and offline.
The forum will feature four themed conferences on topics, namely, world digital economy, open science and innovation, international cooperation and development for medium and small size enterprises, and female scientists.
The forum will publish a list of 10 scientific questions related to shared global challenges and deeply effecting social development. It will also publish a list of 10 new innovations in chemistry that have global application and market potential.
The organizers will also launch a new initiative with international peers to promote scientific cooperation during the forum.
A highlight of this year's event is a greater focus on capable young scientists, featuring 10 seminars for them to expand their horizon and share their ideas with government officials, noted academics and other young talents.
