COVID testing lab to resume services

A medical laboratory in Henan province said on its WeChat account on Wednesday that it had communicated with government departments to resolve problems involving payment for COVID-19 testing and will continue to provide services.
On Tuesday, a notice released by Xuchang CapitalBoi Runkang Medical Laboratory roused public concern. It said its headquarters had informed it to suspend receipt of all COVID-19 nucleic acid samples from all counties and districts in Xuchang starting on Friday because of financial difficulties.
"Since January 2021, the laboratory has been undertaking large-scale COVID-19 nucleic acid tests in urban areas, and the cost of reagents, supplies and labor is high," the notice said. "Currently, we haven't received timely payment, bringing us great operating pressure."
