NHC sending teams to ensure fever clinics are open

The National Health Commission will send inspection teams across the country to check whether hospitals have opened their fever clinics, a senior health official said on Friday.
NHC official Jiao Yahui said the commission has released a list of hospitals that claim to have opened fever clinics to the public, and the teams will check to see whether the claims are true.
The commission will publicize any serious problems and ask local authorities to hold violators accountable, she said at a news conference.
It has issued notices to simplify the procedures involved in setting up fever clinics and has asked hospitals to increase the number of medical workers at the clinics, she said.
Furthermore, medical workers and patients should take personal precautions and wear medical masks, Jiao advised.
