A special museum that has over 100 years of history is located within Fudan University in Shanghai.

A key witness of the development and evolution of China's flora and fauna, Zujia Biological Museum contains over 90,000 pieces of taxidermy and herbarium specimens, including the records of endangered species in China as well as rare plant specimens from 100 years ago.

This showcase of precious specimens was made possible by the relentless efforts of generations of scholars and specimen makers, such as Tang Shimin and Lu Fan, the current director of animal and plant specimens of the museum respectively.

They believe that the value of protecting these specimens lies in the investigation and research of Chinese flora and fauna, as well as enhancing the key role of natural museums in scientific popularization.
