The China Customs magazine, published by the General Administration of Customs, recently released the list of China's top 100 foreign trade cities in 2022, with Jinhua in Zhejiang province ranking seventh.

The list of China's top 100 foreign trade cities evaluated the foreign trade competitiveness of each city based on five criteria: capacity, structure, efficiency, development, and potential.

The list revealed that the competitive focus of cities in foreign trade is increasingly influenced by factors such as policies, funds, ports, and talent. These factors are reflected in the potential competitiveness category, which includes indicators such as the number of open ports and platforms, number of new foreign trade enterprises, and amount of foreign capital utilized.

Data showed that in 2022, Jinhua's total imports and exports were valued at 683.87 billion yuan ($95.91 billion), an increase of 16.3 percent over 2021, while the total value of the city's imports and exports in the first 10 months amounted to 648.03 billion yuan.
