Political adviser suggests single woman access to egg freezing

Women's willingness of bearing children should be encouraged in many regards, including opening the possibilities of freezing eggs for single women, proposed by a national political adviser during the ongoing two sessions.
Lu Weiying, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and a reproductive expert in South China's Hainan province, said she hopes women can be treated equally in workplaces and their concerns on child care can be resolved by making nurseries more affordable through mechanism improvement.
The two sessions are the annual gatherings of the National People's Congress and the CPPCC National Committee.
