6.3-magnitude quake hits Taiwan: CENC

BEIJING -- A 6.3-magnitude earthquake jolted sea area off Taiwan's Hualien County at 2:26 am Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 23.70 degrees north latitude and 121.68 degrees east longitude. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, the center said.
