The Yellow River Estuary bird habitat in Dongying, Shandong province, gained a new world-class identity as a World Natural Heritage site on July 26.

At the 46th World Heritage Conference in New Delhi, UNESCO's World Heritage Committee approved the Yellow (Bohai) Sea Migratory Bird Habitats (Phase II) for the World Heritage List.

Dongying's Yellow River Estuary bird habitat was successfully included, marking it as Shandong's first World Natural Heritage site.
