Top procuratorate orders arrest of former senior provincial political advisor

BEIJING -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Tuesday said it had ordered the arrest of Hu Qiang, a former senior political advisor in East China's Jiangxi province, for suspected bribery.
The case of Hu, formerly a member of the leading Party members group and vice chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, was investigated by the National Commission of Supervision before being handed over to prosecutors, the SPP said in a statement.
