Jiangsu cracks down on City Football League scalpers
Local police have apprehended 105 individuals in a recent crackdown on ticket scalping at the Jiangsu City Football League, according to public security authorities on Monday.
The league, known as "Su Super League", has drawn massive crowds with tickets becoming increasingly difficult to secure. Scalpers have capitalized on the high demand, prompting the local police to take action.
A specialized task force has been deployed to combat scalping activities. During the fourth round of matches, 59 individuals were caught on-site, with measures taken against a total of 105 scalpers.
The cases of illegal activities identified during the crackdown fall into three categories, according to local police. These include the infringement of citizens' information to grab tickets, the disruption of event order by allowing individuals without tickets to enter for profit, and the resale of tickets obtained through organized offline ticket buyers or software manipulation.
