Servier China unveiled its "It Means the World" Patient Week in Beijing on Sept 15 to strengthen dialogue among patients and families, patient organizations and physicians.

As one of the earliest multinational pharmaceutical firms to enter China, Servier has operated in the country for 45 years. The company has built a good presence in the treatment of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and venous disease, while actively expanding its landscape to the field of hard-to-treat cancers, including pancreatic cancer, blood cancer and glioma.

The week's activities began with a salon hosted by the Chinese Organization for Rare Disorders and supported by Servier. The event gathered representatives from patient organizations, patients and their families, and clinicians to share personal experiences. Patient communities, including Glioma Hope Family, Di'Ai Family and NuanBaiXiaoWu, also participated in the event.

According to the organization's founder Huang Rufang, the program aimed to highlight the everyday needs of patients beyond clinical treatment, and to promote greater attention to emotional and psychological support for them.

Servier said it will continue to carry out patient-focused initiatives and awareness campaigns, maintaining collaboration with patient organizations at all stages of a drug's lifecycle, with the goal of improving patient outcomes in China.
