Foreign minister urges students to advance diplomacy with Chinese characteristics

Foreign Minister Wang Yi has called on students at the China Foreign Affairs University to align their aspirations with the needs of the motherland, and shoulder the historic mission of advancing major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.
Wang made the remarks during the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the CFAU on Friday, adding that the university was thriving with the development of China's diplomatic cause.
As major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics is entering a new historical stage, Wang said it not only provides CFAU with a broad stage for development but also to set higher standards.
He urged the university to continue cultivating reliable talents capable of contributing Chinese wisdom with the goal of building a community with a shared future for humanity, and to provide stronger support for major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.
Additionally, Wang encouraged the students to set ambitious goals, follow the right path, and get things done with practical actions.
Founded in 1955, by late premier Zhou Enlai, CFAFU is directly affiliated with China's Foreign Ministry. It is widely known as the "cradle of Chinese diplomats".
