PM Seeks Stronger Bilateral Ties with Kuwait

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong desire to deepen bilateral cooperation with Kuwait across multiple sectors, including trade, investment, agriculture, livestock, manpower export, health, tourism, education, and climate change.

The prime minister, attending the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, held separate meetings with Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.

During his meeting with the Kuwaiti Crown Prince, Sharif recalled the longstanding, fraternal ties between the two nations and thanked Kuwait for its support during Pakistan’s devastating floods. He expressed hope to host the Kuwaiti Crown Prince for an official visit later this year. Both leaders also discussed regional issues, particularly the situation in the Middle East, where the crown prince praised Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in highlighting the plight of Palestinians and its constructive role in promoting peace.

The discussions reflected Pakistan’s broader diplomatic push to enhance partnerships with friendly nations, while also contributing to regional stability and multilateral cooperation.
