As cities develop, green spaces are playing an increasingly vital role in urban life. Pocket parks, which transform underused corners and idle plots into vibrant green areas through "filling gaps with greenery", have become a practical way to improve everyday life on a small scale.
Guiyang, known as the "city of countless parks", currently boasts 225 pocket parks – the highest number in Guizhou province. With park greenery activities covering 87.92 percent of the city, residents can truly "see green from their windows and step into a park just outside their door".
In Guiyang's Guanshanhu district, the pocket parks Muguang Linjing and Qiaosongyuan are just a five-minute walk apart. What were once neglected corners now form a connected green leisure space for the community.
