Indian fighter jet crashes at Dubai Air Show, pilot's fate unknown

An Indian Air Force Tejas fighter jet crashed during a demonstration flight at the Dubai Air Show on Friday afternoon, the last day of the event, local media reported.

The crash occurred at around 2:10 pm local time in front of a large crowd of spectators at Al Maktoum International Airport, the venue of the biennial air show.

The pilot's fate remains unclear, as it was not immediately known whether the pilot had ejected.

Witnesses reported seeing black smoke rising from the crash site, followed by the sound of sirens across the Dubai World Central venue.
