Hong Kong stocks surge 3.61% on regional market gains

Hong Kong stocks jumped 476.14 points, or 3.61 percent, to close at 13,655.04 on Friday, on strong gains in the mainland stock markets and overnight Wall Street rise.

However, turnover shrank to HK$45.40 billion ($5.86 billion) from HK$52.83 billion on Thursday.
