Former Vice Premier to receive honorary degree

Former Chinese Vice Premier Li Lanqing will be in Singapore to receive the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters from NUS.

He is here from Sunday till Friday at the invitation of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew and NUS.

During his visit, Mr Li will also launch five books he has written over the years and open an exhibition on his seal carvings.

The Foreign Ministry says Mr Li will also meet his old friends, including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong and Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew.
