Hong Kong reports 245 new A(H1N1) cases

Updated: 2009-08-05 20:59 HONG KONG: Hong Kong confirmed 245 new cases of A(H1N1) influenza Wednesday, bringing the total to 4,749 in the region, local health authorities said. A spokesman for the Department of Health said the new cases are 123 males and 122 females, aged between six months and 61 years old. According to the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, a total of 55 confirmed cases are currently staying in public hospitals for treatment. Among them, 50 cases are in stable condition, and five in critical condition. |
