HK chief executive to pay duty visit to Beijing

HONG KONG -?Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang will pay a four-day duty visit to Beijing starting Monday, the city's government said Friday in a statement.

Tsang will brief State leaders on the economic, social and political developments in Hong Kong in the past year. He will also call on several ministries of the central government, including National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, China Banking Regulatory Commission, China Securities Regulatory Commission, and People's Bank of China.

The Director of the Chief Executive's Office Raymond Tam, Director of Information Services Michael Wong and Chief Executive' s Private Secretary Bernadette Linn, among others, will also join the visit.

During Tsang's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong government Henry Tang will be acting chief executive.
