BEIJING - Austrian Federal Chancellor Werner Faymann concluded his official visit to China and left Beijing Saturday morning.

During his three-day visit, Chinese President Hu Jintao met with Faymann on Friday. The two leaders hailed the remarkable progress of China-Austria relations since the forging of diplomatic ties 40 years ago, and pledged to further boost bilateral cooperation and exchanges.

Faymann also attended activities celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China-Austria diplomatic ties.

At the invitation of Wen, Faymann arrived in Beijing on Thursday.
