Biography of Xie Feng 

Xie Feng, Director-General of?the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs

Xie Feng graduated from the Foreign Affairs University in 1986 and began his diplomatic career soon after when he joined the Foreign Ministry.

He worked at the ministry's department of European Affairs and Chinese embassy to Malta during 1986 to 1993.

He joined the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs then after until 2000, when he switched to the Chinese embassy to the US.

He was appointed as the department's Director-General in 2010.
