Patriotic education in Hong Kong
A national political adviser from Hong Kong said China should be more determined in promoting national education in the city, noting Hong Kong's residents, especially students, lack comprehensive understanding of both the country and "one country, two systems" policy.
Peter Lam Kin-ngok, Hong Kong's entertainment tycoon and CPPCC member, has proposed a series of measures including compulsory usage of Mandarin in certain classes and normalization of ceremony to raise national flag.
