Chinese State-owned enterprises (SOEs) should avoid blind investment and further improve work efficiency, said Xiao Yaqing on Sunday, chairman of the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

The SOEs' corporate debts are at "safe and controllable" levels, said Xiao, adding the commission will continue to strengthen the supervision of State-owned capital and better manage their assets.
