The 25th National Book Expo was held from Sep 25 to 27 in Taiyuan, Shanxi province by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television and the provincial government, aiming to promote nationwide reading and build a nation of avid readers.
More than 1,000 publishers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan joined the expo and exhibited 265,400 books, 156,200 of which are new books.
