despite of the high prices, 400 yuan (US$48) each.
The pet gigs will reach a full-grown weight of only 5 kilograms after 5
months and can be fed with vegetables, fruits, dog or cat food. Rising incomes
and increased leisure time have spurred a new generation of pet owners in China,
a market that is growing at 15 percent a year.
