6月23日。德國(guó)通用汽車(chē)公司宣布計(jì)劃和中國(guó)的合作伙伴共同投資2500萬(wàn)美元，以擴(kuò)大其在中國(guó)重要的小汽車(chē)設(shè)計(jì)中心，并于明年1月將其亞太地區(qū)的總部遷往中國(guó)上海。在解釋這樣做的原因時(shí)，亞洲汽車(chē)資源負(fù)責(zé)人鄧恩說(shuō)：If you look around the world in terms of profitability, growth in China is head and shoulders above everybody else. 顯然他對(duì)中國(guó)的小汽車(chē)市場(chǎng)充滿(mǎn)了信心。在這里他用了head and shoulders above這個(gè)固定短語(yǔ)，是“遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)超出”的意思。
