消費，是經濟學中的永恒話題。據悉，我國第十一個五年規(guī)劃中特別指出：“要進一步擴大國內需求，調整投資和消費的關系，增強消費對經濟增長的拉動作用。”中國經濟增長再一次向“消費拉動”轉軌。

報道中的high-end product指的是“高端產品”。所謂“高端”，顧名思義，就是“高級”、“層次較高”的意思。比如，“高端市場”，high-end market，意思就是針對的消費群體消費層次相對較高。
報道說的是：我國主要消費品的價格出現下跌趨勢，這將刺激消費者去購買一些更為高端的產品。句中的pod值得注意，可解釋為stimulate。
