The much-awaited temple fair in City Temple opened on Feb 5. Though the weather was not good, the street still bustled with noise and excitement.
A responsible person with the neighborhood committee of City Temple said that calligraphers wrote spring couplets for city residents free of charge from Feb 5 to 9.
In addition, Chaohu folk songs made a debut at this year's temple fair thanks to changes in administrative regions.
Hefei will also arrange a series of traditional activities such as Lu opera and flower-drum lantern songs and dances. From Feb 10 to 17, opera performances will take place at Huaxilou Building in City Temple. A rural singer competition will be held in City Temple on Feb 18.
