The Calligrapher and Painter Party, attended by over 200 calligraphy and painting masters, was held Monday, Oct 18, at the Daming Palace National Heritage Park, Xi’an, reported Shaanxi Daily.
The party, a part of “Chang’an Gathering”- the gathering of scholars in Xi’an (called Chang’an in ancient times), was hosted by the Central Research Institute of Culture and History and the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province, and organized by Shaanxi Culture Industry Investment Holding Group, the office for Literature and History of the People’s Government of Shaanxi, Daming Palace Preservation Office and Daming Palace Investment Group.
“Chang’an Gathering”, which has been successfully held for three times since 2003, has become an important cultural brand to improve the influence and cultural status of Shaanxi province. The Calligrapher and Painter Party at Daming Palace is an important part of the fourth “Chang’an Gathering”. The works of the calligraphers and painters will be shown to be public.
