Pingnan strictly strike illegal acts in family planning

On July 24, Family Planning Bureau and Food and Drug Administration of Pingnan County co-organized a check on the action of identifying the fetus sex and terminating pregnancy by the sex choice with no medical need. One countryside drugstore and two private clinics were fined some RMB 6,000 yuan for illegally aborting ten pregnant women.

The two departments also carried out an inspection on family-planning drugs and medical devices. Prescriptions, sales records, packing instructions, suppliers’ qualification certifications, purchase records and storage conditions were checked to guarantee drugs and medical devices in their circulation and use. Any illegal acts will be punished. Complaints and reports are welcome in many channels to help monitor.
