Fujian province will boost marine transportation to Taiwan by allowing vehicles from Taipei, Taichung and Jinmen in Taiwan to drive in Fujian's Pingtan county and Xiamen city, and vice versa, according to a notice on accelerating port development recently issued by the provincial government.

Vehicles from Fujian and Taiwan can be transported via roll-on roll-off ferries.

Fujian will also support the development of a direct voyage between Weitou Bay in Quanzhou and Taiwan, said the notice.
