The calligraphy and painting exhibition titled Light, Shade, Color and Ink opened in Urumqi Economic and Technological Development Zone on Sept 18.
The exhibition features masterpieces created by dozens of Chinese film artists and painters, with a combination of realist and romantic styles on display.
It is the fifth time that the event has been held in the region, and this year it will also comprise an important part of the fifth China-Eurasia Expo, which will be held on Sept 20-25.
Well-known film artists including Li Qiankuan and Zhang Tielin attended the event.
