A recruitment fair was held in Urumqi’s Toutunhe district on May 8, drawing over 1,000 job seekers with over 4,000 job opportunities on offer with some 45 enterprises.
“Our company is in the peak production season and we need a large number of workers,” said Zhou Yan, staff member from China Mengniu Dairy Co Ltd.
According to Chen Gong, staff member from the Toutunhe human resources and social security bureau, Toutunhe will also provide training services and preferential policies to better aid in connecting job seekers and employers.
Dong Hu, an official from the Toutunhe district, said the job fair is aimed at constructing a platform for enterprises to promote employment to job seekers.
