Exporting apples to the US

To embrace a US delegation of apple inspectors in October, a meeting was initiated to clarify the important checkpoints in apple orchards and packaging factories in Sanmenxia, Central China’s Henan province, on Sept 2.

Niu Lanying, deputy mayor of the city, highlighted the importance of exporting apples abroad:

“The opening of the overseas market can promote the brand image of Lingbao Apples and increase the income of residents. We should spare no efforts to grab the chance and sell our apples to the USA.”

Thanks to the progress made in bilateral talks between the two countries in 2013, Chinese apples have an open door to the US now.

According to China's General Administration of Quality, Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), Sanmenxia was listed as one of the destinations for the American delegation’s trip to import apples.
