The military talks will reopen on Wednesday and Friday, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency quoted South Korean officials as saying.

Two-star generals of the two sides held talks on Monday at the truce village of Panmunjom. The UNC said that the 32-minutes was talks "positive" and "useful" in building mutual trust and preventing misunderstanding.

According to Yonhap, the two sides will continue their talks to seek measures to temper their hostilities.

Kim Yong-kyu, a spokesman for US Forces Korea, confirmed the talks are scheduled for this week, adding colonel-level talks will precede general-level discussions.
