Chinese new Ambassador to EU Yang Yanyi has presented her letter of credentials to European Council Herman Van Rompuy on 29th January, saying she is determined to boost the Sino-EU strategic partnership to a new level by taking advantage of high-level visits this year.

Van Rompuy welcomed Yang, saying EU has attached great importance to developing relations with China and will work with Chinese side to plan the recent top level visits and exchanges.

Yang has brought best regards from Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang to Van Rompuy.

In January, Yang has replaced Wu Hailong, who now us head of China’s Representative to UN office in Geneva.
