Dalian hosts FISU University World Cup Football


University athletes from 17 countries, including Australia, France, and Spain, have gathered in Dalian, Liaoning province, to participate in the 2025 FISU University World Cup Football, which kicked off on Wednesday in the northeastern port city.
Organized by the International University Sports Federation, the event features men's and women's competitions. The men's division includes 16 teams, while the women's division hosts eight. According to FISU's selection criteria, China is represented by four teams.
Dalian is renowned for its exceptional hosting capabilities and vibrant soccer culture. Over 11 days, 62 matches will be played across several professional venues, including the Suoyuwan Football Stadium, Dalian Youth Football Training Base, and Dalian Sports Center Stadium.
The event will also feature cultural exchanges on campuses, artistic performances, and city tours.
