Renaming marks new stage in SK Hynix Wuxi school's expansion
SK Hynix Wuxi Foreign Language School held a renaming ceremony on Nov 19, marking its official transition from SK Hynix Wuxi Foreign Language Primary School to its new title.
This year, the school introduced its middle school division, extending its program to a nine-year educational system. The first cohort of middle school students is scheduled to enroll in September 2026.
Following the ceremony, the school and the Shanghai World Foreign Language Education Group signed a renewed cooperation agreement, further strengthening their partnership that started when the two sides jointly founded the school in August 2021.
Eom Kang-yong, deputy general manager of SK Hynix Semiconductor China, said the strengthened cooperation will help the school better integrate into the local community and become an institution trusted by parents, supported by education authorities, and widely recognized for its quality.
Xu Jian, president of the Shanghai WFL Education Group, expressed his hope that the school will keep exploring innovative teaching models, enrich classroom practices, and promote students' comprehensive and personalized development.
The 8th English Festival of the Shanghai WFL Education Group debuted at the school on the same day.
Centered on the theme "Grow Up with Tech and Talk", the festival integrates English learning with science and technology. Through performances such as English musicals, debates and others, the event highlights the school's success in fostering students' global outlook, scientific understanding and creative thinking.
