The 12367 National Immigration Administration Government Service Platform will roll out French language support for its telephone hotline starting Thursday, the National Immigration Administration said.

Callers to 12367 can now select from multiple languages, including English, French, Russian, Korean and Japanese, through the interactive voice response system. For English service, the platform provides an immediate voice response. For French, Russian, Japanese or Korean, a three-way call connects the user, a translator and a hotline operator, ensuring "one number, immediate response, service completed" for inquiries.

The upgrade is aimed at further streamlining immigration and entry-exit services for foreign nationals visiting or residing in China and contributing to a world-class business environment, the NIA said.

As a one-stop, integrated customer service hub for both Chinese and foreign travelers, the 12367 platform covers multiple channels, including the telephone hotline, mobile app, WeChat and Alipay mini-programs, and an official website. It serves as a key gateway for addressing urgent concerns and difficulties faced by individuals and enterprises regarding China's immigration management.

Since its launch on April 8, 2021, the platform has handled more than 20 million calls from 165 countries and regions, covering inquiries, suggestions and other immigration-related matters. It has achieved an average satisfaction rate of 98.82 percent, with a first-call resolution rate of 99.94 percent.

The NIA said it will continue to refine the 12367 platform, expanding its service channels, language options and functions to facilitate cross-border travel.
